Again a monday night!

This monday Lach announced that he will be leaving the Sidewalk Cafe after hosting the Open Mike for over 15 years.
Everybody was shocked, but I am aswell happy Lach is now concentrating more on his very own music. I hope I will see him soon on a tour through Germany! Check out once again his webpage and CDs!
Ben Krieger will be hosting the Open Mike from now on, and he is aswell a very talented musician and I am looking forward to more Open Mikes at the Sidewalk.
To honor Lach, I asked him if he would perform "Guys With Guitars" with me, a song inspired by the Sidewalk Open Mikes. Lach is without a doubt the ultimate guy with a guitar.
Well, of course I was honored. Thank you again Lach!
Check out the video my friend Alex recorded of our little very-spontaneous-never-rehearsed performance!
I also took this news of the end of an aera as a an occasion to launch my online shop and specially to guys with guitars dedicated webpage earlier than planned. "Guys with Guitars" will also be the first single of my forthcoming album. Get the Tees and support the music!

Hope you will like my very own designs for the T-shirts and that you'll enjoy the video!

Have a great week and see you soon!

Monday Nights at the Sidewalk Cafe

Heeey! I actually lied about my favorite place in the East Village!
It's here (at least for monday nights): The open mike at the Sidewalk Cafe (94 Avenue A at East 6th Street)!

Like Lach (the host) likes to point out (no responsibility is taken on the exactness of this quote): "The Antihoot: the coolest place in the East Village, the East Village: the coolest part of New York City, New York City: the coolest place on Planet Earth, Planet Earth: the coolest planet in the Universe! So this makes the Antihoot the coolest place in the universe!"
(What a pitty though that monday isn't the coolest day of the week...)

Come by, get inspired and be a sponge or be the water and pour yourself out to a welcoming crowd!

The lady on the picture is the fabulous Debe Dalton! Her lyrics are unheard-of!!!

Have a great week!

New York sounds great!

New York sounds great! It's a lot of fun watching Fab do his thing! He is doing and amazing job and the record is gonna sound fantastic. I can't wait to finally put it out there for you guys to hear.
I am also very happy to accomplish the record where it once began. The circle closes up!

Here are some pics from the very start in New York City, the recordings in Berlin and some recent studio pics from the mix, again in NYC!

Have fun!
Alev

Fabulous Fab producing some fabulous sounds!
Fab has some niiiice gems in the studio! Check out this Fender British Edition in the picture above!
He also has a rare Fender Piano Bass (left in this picture, sorry forgot to take a better pic!). We used on one "flight 1701", it sounds superb!
