at full throttle...

... right now the record itself is getting mastered at The Mastering Palace. The already incredible mix will get the final polish by Dave Kutch, who's already mastered some great records, like the latest Alicia Keys Album, As I am! I am very happy to have worked with such incredible people on this record!
Next week I will travel to Istanbul to check out the Istanbul International Jazz Festival! Rufus Wainwright is playing and some other fine artists I would like to see.
And check this out: Tori Amos is no longer with Emi! At least that's what I read on her website. Her statement gave me strenght to keep on doing what I am doing, on my own, independent. Thanks Tori.
Meanwhile I am working on my new webpage and my website will relaunch as soon as the release date is set!
I also write a lot these days, Istanbul will be an extra source of inspiration, too. That city is just amazing. I heard people say that Istanbul is New York ten years ago.
I have been there many times and I am very excited how my turkish fans will accept my record. I am also thinking of spending some more time in Istanbul this fall; to sing, write and live. I always had one or the other turkish song in my repertoire, I think it is an interesting sphere to branch out into. Let's see, maybe my next record will be turkish rap! Ha-ha!
My mom also lives in Istanbul and I am thrilled to see her again, I see her way too seldom!

Have a great week!

My Fans

I recieved so many nice emails and words (a lot of them reffering to my concert on saturday) in the last few days that I just wanted to say, that I love you guys. You are seriously the most thoughtful, nicest and adorable fans ever. Thank you so much for supporting me. I hope my tour will make it possible for me to play for as many of you as possible.

Thank you!
