Overview
I never seem to talk much about my musical influences, so I thought a little overview of the past concerts I've been to might help:
This summer I've been to the Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. It was incredible! You should check it out. It was the most peaceful atmosphere I've ever experienced and, believe it or not, the cleanest toilets I have ever been to at a festival!
It was great. Great food too! And the lineup was fantastic. From The Killers to Justice, Moloko and José Gonzales, who had a fantastic three people set up and sounded great, and many more. Here are some impressions for you:

This one is somewhere in Budapest, I just loved it:

Then I travelled to Nashville and got myself a country music overdose and crashed with a horrible headache in Memphis. But had an extremly creative phase during the journey. And I think I will go overboard if I hear the word "front porch" one more time.

Back in New York I went to see Death Cab for Cutie, Antony and the Johnsons, but unfortunatley missed Lykke Li about a day. I also went to see GWAR.

I of course joined several open mikes and concerts of people that are not known YET. Here is one FANTASTIC musician I was able to follow a performance of at Bar 4 in Brooklyn. Tim Noyes. Check out his great music:

I especially love "The Neighbor Song"! Tim, I'll try everything to get you here to Germany and play with me!
And of course I also had a show in NYC. Here are some pics from my roommate at that time, Casey Kelbaugh, who is a talented photographer an great business man! Check out what he started: www.slideluckpotshow.com He's always very supportive of photographers aswell as other artists. Thanks Casey and see you in January! Good luck with DC!

Back in Germany I was lucky to get some tickets for the sold out tour of Leonard Cohen!
IT WAS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. Mister Cohen was fantastic, his voice was superb, his band breathtaking. I am missing adjectives!!!

Yesterday I went to see Deep Purple with my dad and now I should get going and play some piano.
Love,
Alev
