The showcases were a big success, thanks to everyone that came! It was packed, both in Munich and Berlin!
Now I am working on coming to a town near you soon! I'll try to make it out to some festivals this summer and hopefully go on tour later this year. Stay tuned!
The musicians for the showcases were awesome and we had so much fun together. Daniel Schröteler was on the drums at Radio Fritz in Potsdam and Berlin. He's also the dude with drums on my album! Jo Ambros came along for all three gigs. He's the guy with guitar on my album. Pete Cudek played the bass for all three gigs and has already supported me several times in Munich. And for the first time I had a lady with me on tour, and OH how wonderfull that was! Olivia Funnell played the the Cello and charmed the listeners! I never wanna tour without a woman again!
And in Munich, the dude with drums was Jörg Regenbogen. And for those of you who really know me well, this name should ring a bell! Jörg already played with me in my former band ALEV and recorded the first record that was officially released in 2004! Jörg is also a fantastic drummer and I am happy he plays with me whenever I am in Munich!
We started out at Radio Fritz in Potsdam. Unfortunetely, my week started at the doctor. Two days before the first show I did something to my neck and couldn't move without pain or even get out of bed. I guess I was so excited about the record being finally released and overwhelmed to see come true what I've been working for all the years, so I just freezed! Oh man... what your mind can do to you!
Some painkillers, injections in my back and with the help of thermal cushions I made it to the stage.
I never, in my long career of performing live, called off a show. I've been sick to my stomach before, but I always got myself up there and did my best. I am proud of that!
And then again, and on stage... nothing really matters except for the music and the audience! I am there for you. And speaking of, here's a little something for you:
