This was the last time I was in the studio with a crowd and shortly before I left London, having no idea I wouldn't see it again for over a year - and I still haven't been back. It feels bizarre thinking of these beautiful days in the studio, already talking about this "new disease" and if we should worry. Going to lunch, eating pizza and definitely not yet social distancing ...
Over the past year then we managed to remotely record and produce the rest of this wonderfully written music. With additional hang recording by Manu done in a studio Austria, Nina recording in Northampton in a studio - and Ruba even recording vocals at home too! And me connecting the dots and putting the tracks together on my desk at home, at night... What a year.
Congratulations Ruba on this effort, this gorgeous work and your strength to see this through in a way we never would have imaged!
