I might be happiest of the friendship with Niki Reiser, who composed the music for this film, and Caroline Link, who is the director of this upcoming movie. I am happy we have worked together now for almost 20 years and no one minded that I kept asking 'do you need a song for this one', that I kept writing and offering, while also of course continuing to sing with Niki and for Caroline many times. And, my suggestions were always welcomed and listened to. Deep care and respect has been our bond for all those years.
And then, a couple of years ago I received a story and the possibility of a song being needed opened up.
I am happy to report that I ended up writing a piece of music for these lovers! I felt so called to write and sing this song... I am from the city this plays in (Munich) and let's just say... it hits home in more ways than one. I am so so thrilled you will be able to hear the song in January (nope it is not the one on the trailer).
This all makes me very happy.
