My dear friends, full circle moment, literally!, with a circular vinyl!
The 12" Vinyl of '4 in a Cycle of Thirds' is IN STORES NOW!
It is a very special feeling to still be able to have and distribute a physical products to actual stores and I am so very grateful for it! Record shops and book shops are such important third spaces, places you can roam and just be. Meet people and find things you didn't know you were looking for. We have to jointly keep these places alive! I am hoping this can be a small contribution to it and I would be delighted if you can support by buying a physical product or simply just visiting physical spaces, if you can, and giving them your love and energy. We all need it very much!
This album has been a gift to be able to make and I am in awe of and very thankful to the people who agreed to help me make it:
Fiona Cruickshank - without her excellent engineering work, as a recording engineer and as a mixing engineer, this record quite literally couldn't be heard! And it wouldn't have the depth and colour, the love and joy that I can hear with every string touched, note sung and played.
Nina Harries - I do no even know how to describe the importance of her playing for the songs, the bass is the heart beat of this record , making the songs stand tall and alive.
Zöhre Ülger - the pleasure or having her agree to play on my record and bring her spirit to the music and the richness of the anatolian saz is a gift beyond measure.
Heba Kadry, - I have been waiting for years to be able to work with her again and I was so thrilled that Heba lent her excellent ear to this record, making sure all the beauty remained in detail and yet got closer to your ear in a compact treasure box.
Jodie Landau - finding a duet partner who's voice melted like this with mine for a deep song like Dawn, a piece I had originally written with a pitched vocal of myself was a serendipitous last puzzle piece to fall into place perfectly.
Laura Lewis- captured that perfect place, stopping me in the forest, while just walking to a different portrait location. She saw it and captured it and captured the unfiltered spirit of this record.
Oliver Okolo - having him join and give his gift to transform Laura's art to his art , to bring his eye and imagination from hearing the record to making it live on canvas, was an incredible honour.
Aspa Founti - and then, having Aspa put together all the piece with her impeccable eye, after already working visuals wonders on '3' , rounded this last step of the project up ssooooo neatly.

I hope I will see at one of my shows tomorrow or monday at two very special record stores!
